Hi!
I’m Dr. Hannah Brandt
Founder | Doctor of Physical Therapy | Integrative and Functional Nutrition Therapy Practitioner | Certified Personal Trainer
A physical therapist by training, a coach by calling, and a proud former “fat girl” who lost over 60 pounds and turned that personal transformation into a thriving business helping fellow female medical professionals reclaim their health, strength, and confidence.
I’m still the same Midwestern girl from Ohio with a soft spot for sarcasm, Harry Potter, dogs, and ice cream (which I firmly believe is the answer to most of life’s problems). I’ve got supportive-as-hell parents, an older brother I may look up to (but will deny it), and a husband who lovingly tells me he wouldn’t vote for me on a singing show. (Rude, but fair.)
But let’s talk about what really brought you here:
My story. And maybe yours too.
I’ve struggled with weight my entire life.
Not the “just tone up a bit” kind of struggle, but the “dread back-to-school shopping since the cute stuff never fit, pick yourself apart in the mirror, and feel like a stranger in your own body” kind. Despite playing sports (volleyball, lacrosse, or snowboarding anyone?), loving salads, and excelling in school, I couldn’t make a dent in the weight I desperately wanted to lose.
It may have been related to my love affair with Cheez-its or very fun college social life, but let’s not spend too much time there.
I remember the “let’s talk about your weight” doctor visits when I was younger. Seeing that graph of my weight go up year over year followed by “the talk” was humiliating since I had been trying to lose weight (unsuccessfully) the entire time.
To be blunt. My weight bothered me. But something else bothered me more. It was the lack of alignment between my work-ethic and standards and my appearance. They didn’t match.
On paper, I was succeeding in every area:
• Earned a Bachelor’s in applied health sciences with an entrepreneurship minor from Bowling Green State University on a full-ride academic scholarship in 2010. (Go Falcons!)
• Earned a degree in Physical Therapy from Ohio University. (Go Bobcats!)
• Began practicing as a full-time outpatient orthopedic physical therapist in 2013.
After graduate school, at age 25 and my heaviest weight, I finally had the space to focus on myself. I hired an online fitness coach who (plot twist) turned out to be a complete douche bag with cookie-cutter programs - we parted ways when I called him on it. But I refused to let one bad experience get in the way of the goals I had wanted for so long.
I found a coach who got it. And I worked HARD. I scraped snow off my car in the dark to exercise before work. I learned how to count calories and track macros, prioritized my health, and showed up for myself. Not to be obsessive or make myself miserable, but because I finally realized I deserved this level of commitment to myself.
The life-changing transformation I experienced made me hungry (pun intended) deepen my knowledge of the fitness and nutrition world. I earned my NASM Personal Training Certification and Professional Nutrition Certificate from San Diego State University in 2018 before going on to earn my title as an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Therapy Practitioner from the IFN Academy in 2022.
and yet…
I was still living everyday in an identity disconnect. I couldn’t seem to heal my own relationship with food and weight.
Over the course of more than a year filled with countless gym sessions in old sweaty t-shirts
(no matching sets for this girl), grocery shopping trips packed with veggies, protein, SOME TREATS, and an unrelenting commitment to myself... I did it.
I lost over 60 pounds.

The ability to grab whatever I felt like wearing out of my closet was life-changing.

It wasn't always easy. It wasn't a linear drop. It wasn't fast. It wasn't glamorous. But it worked. And I've kept it off for over a decade.
As a practicing physical therapist, I noticed something surprising: patients and colleagues (and people I hadn’t talked to since highschool) began asking me about my transformation. What started as casual conversations grew into a side hustle that eventually became so in-demand, I had to make a choice between traditional healthcare and coaching full-time.
I chose coaching, and Physique Triage was born.
Today, instead of using my healthcare expertise to treat problems reactively…
I help women in healthcare prevent them through sustainable fitness, nutrition and lifestyle coaching.
I combine my doctoral-level healthcare knowledge, science-backed methodology, personal training certification, integrative and functional nutrition expertise, and lived experience of my own 60-pound weight loss journey to transform the health of high-performing women with demanding medical careers.
There’s no shame for wanting to lose weight, feel better, and look great in clothes.
Here we celebrate client goals while helping them achieve them in a way that feels good. Nothing brings me more joy than helping women close the gap between who they know they are and how they feel in their skin and about the way they look.
I’m not here to push fads, sell skinny tea, or make you feel broken.
I’m here to help you get strong, lose weight sustainably, and feel like the unstoppable woman you are, without giving up the life you love.
If I could transform from the “former fat kid” picking myself apart in dressing rooms to a confident healthcare professional who has never felt more at home in her own skin, you absolutely can too. Let’s make your transformation inevitable. Together.
